EventsOnline.ca offers an integrated pledging system which is a great complement to the Secure Online Registration System.

The pledging system can operate seamlessly with the registration system, or as a complete standalone system. This pledging system is equally secure and proceeds along the same principles as the EventsOnline.ca registration system. EventsOnline.ca covers the costs and technical processes required to host the system and the technical procedures to keep it secure. An event or cause does not need to incur any extra costs in creating extra web pages.

The Secure Online Pledging System is a tremendous add-on to any charity and/or event that supports a special cause. Unique to a registration and integrated pledging system is the synergy that occurs when a person participates in an exciting event, but also carries their enthusiasm through to their friends and family. The pledging aspect allows friends and family to participate as well, by donating to the associated cause. The combination of the two features in an integrated system provides more results, with less work for the organization.

Event Option:

  • Allows a participant who is registering for an event to instantly add an additional dollar amount for a special cause and also collect additional pledges.
  • Integrated Pledge System: This system is linked directly to the main website of the event or cause. The forms remain on our secure severs, eliminating the need for the event or cause to incur costly standards and security measures.
  • Participant Pledge Form: People can pledge to a specific participant in an event by selecting them from a list on the form. Association of pledges to the people who raised the funds allows prizes or acknowledgement for top fundraisers.
  • Email Pledge Link: Upon registration for the event, the participant instantly receives a confirmation as well as a special email pledging link. The participant can now email this link to their friends and family. The link will direct them to a pledge system which collects funds under the participant's name.
  • Individual Pledge Report: This live report summarizes the pledges per individual, and is accessible by the individual to view their own results.
  • Admin Pledge Report: This live report summarizes the pledges grouped by individual and overall. This is accessible to the event or cause administrators.

Standalone Option:

  • Allows a standalone pledging form which collects the donor’s required information and the donation details.

Fee Structure:

Pledging differs from registration, and this must be accounted for in the systems. It is not encouraged to pass transaction fees along to the donor; furthermore, it is important to minimize costs in processing and handling their donations so more money reaches the desired cause. EventsOnline.ca seeks to minimize inefficiencies and administrative costs for a cause to collect and manage donations, donor records, and tax receipts.

Fees:
EventsOnline.ca generally charges a 6.5% fee on donations raised through the system.

Payment:
EventsOnline.ca offers 2 payment options to maximize tax needs.

Gross Option:
The full amount of funds is sent to the cause and an official invoice is sent to collect payment for associated fees.

Net Option:
Associated fees are deducted from the full amount, and the remainder is sent to the cause.

Discounts:
EventsOnline.ca understands charities and aims to keep costs low. EventsOnline.ca works primarily with not for profit organizations and has not raised fees in over 5 years. As such it is difficult to offer additional discounts as opposed to additional services. EventsOnline.ca can consider donations to specific causes when a formal application is made. Such a donation can offset fundraising costs.
